You can apply to the Manatee County Supervisor of Elections to receive training and work in a paid position at polling places on election day.

Per Florida Statute, each political party and each candidate may have one poll watcher at each polling locaton.  The poll watcher is an observer who helps ensure no violations of election laws occur. 

Manatee County Democrats are training and mobilizing a team of poll watchers as part of a state-wide election protection effort.  DEADLINE TO SIGN UP TO BE A POLL WATCHER FOR THE PRESIDENTIAL PREFERENCE PRIMARY IS FEBRUARY 28.

Manatee County Democrats will have greeter tables at all Early Voting locations and at larger precincts locations on Election Day.  Volunteers are there to be a Democratic Party presence, answer questions and provide sample ballots for those who ask.

Poll Watchers for the March 17 Presidential Preference Primary

If you are interested in being a poll watcher for the Manatee County Democratic Party in the March 17 Presidential Preference Primary, now is the time to move forward.  The first step is to get your credentials to serve as a poll watcher.  Please email your name, address and date of birth to Ivan Rubin, Voter Protection Team Leader at DVPTEAM.Manatee2020@gmail.com  no later than Friday, February 28, 2020.  A schedule for Poll Watcher training will be announced in the near future.
