Precinct Development

Manatee County has 70 Voting Precincts...

.....and we would like to have a Precinct Captain and team in every one of them!  The mission of each team is to Get Out the Vote of the highest possible number of Democrats in their precinct.

To find your precinct, go to the Manatee County Supervisor of Elections at and look under the "Where Do I Vote?" tab.

The precincts are organized into the 5 County Commission Districts with a Coordinator for each.  For example, precinct 105 is in District 1, and precinct 311 is in District 3.

What Precinct Captains Do

As a Precinct Captain, you have an opportunity to be personally involved in making a positive political difference, and  you get plenty of help from the Manatee County Democratic Party .  Your "to do" list includes........

Be a voice for the Democratic Party in your precinct.  Know you community and become the "go to" expert on issues, candidates and voting for the Democratic voters of your precinct.

Recruit volunteers to assist you.

Introduce yourself to voters in your precinct with phone calls, door hangers, precinct parties, and fun ways you can think of to meet people.

Encourage the use of vote-by-mail ballots by Democratic voters.

Help get Democratic voters to the polls on election day.

Work as a team with other Precinct Captains in your area.
