The Manatee County Democratic Party sends its heartfelt condolences to the families that lost their loved ones in the FSU campus shooting on April 17, 2025.

In America, no one should die by gun violence at a place of learning.

Our hearts go out to the surviving victims, and we pray for their physical and spiritual recoveries.

In America, no one should be injured by gun violence at a place of learning.

We hope for healing and peace for FSU students, their parents and loved ones, FSU alumni and all Floridians.

In America, no one should fear gun violence at a place of learning.

We thank law enforcement and the first responders for the care and protection they provided to FSU and Tallahassee in their hour of need.

In America, no one should have to run towards the sounds of gun violence at a place of learning.
